United States Grand Prix will remain on the F1 calendar until the end of 2034 season after a new nine-year contract was signed.

The race made its circuit bow at Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas, USA, in 2012 after a four-year absence and has become a firm favourite with teams and fans alike.

F1 have consequently agreed a new nine-year contract to keep the race at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) until the end of 2034 season, with President and CEO – Stefano Domenicali proud of the race’s “popularity” and “true highlight” status on the calendar.

“Each year, the event at the Circuit of The Americas stands out as a true highlight for fans, drivers, and teams alike, drawing hundreds of thousands of passionate supporters who come to witness the thrilling on-track action and soak up the vibrant energy of the circuit and the city.”

COTA Chairman, Bobby Epstein added that he is “glad” that the US GP found its “home in Texas,” and is thankful to everyone who has continued to support the race.

“We’re glad Formula 1 has found a home in Texas, and are grateful to the fans, teams, and the entire F1 community who have consistently supported us and made the United States Grand Prix a favorite stop on the global calendar.

This contract also will see COTA surpass Watkins Glen as the longest-serving host of the US GP in 2033, with the latter having held 20 US Grands Prix between 1961-80.
