Roundup of the latest Premier League action as the lead changed hands going into October’s international break.

Declan Rice’s strike and Bukayo Saka’s penalty saw Arsenal cruise to a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to second-bottom West Ham to go top of the table.

Liverpool failed to immediately reclaim top spot just hours after they were displaced at the summit as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Chelsea, in which Estevao netted a 96th-minute winner for the Blues after Cody Gakpo cancelled out Moises Caicedo’s first-half stunning top-left corner strike.

Mohammed Kudus fired Tottenham up to third with a 57th-minute winner in a 2-1 victory at Leeds, where Mathys Tel initially put Spurs ahead before Noah Okafor dragged Daniel Farke’s Whites level at the break.

Antoine Semenyo’s brace plus Justin Kluivert’s finish saw Bournemouth come from behind to beat Fulham 3-1 at home, after Ryan Sessegnon fired the Cottagers into a 70th-minute lead in a rain-soaked clash at the Vitality Stadium.

Down in the relegation zone, Wolves remained rock-bottom but held Brighton to a 1-1 draw at Molineux in which Bart Verbruggen’s own-goal put them ahead, before Jan Paul van Hecke 86th-minute header rescued the Seagulls a point.

Lesley Ugochukwu’s consolatory finish couldn’t prevent third-bottom Burnley losing 2-1 at Aston Villa after Donyell Malen’s brace had wrapped up Villa’s victory.

Nottingham Forest sit a point above the drop after they fell to a 2-0 loss at Newcastle through Bruno Guimaraes’ curled finish and Nick Woltemade’s penalty.

Elsewhere, Jack Grealish netted a 93rd-minute winner as Everton came from behind to end Crystal Palace’s 19-match unbeaten run in all competitions with a 2-1 victory, after Iliman Ndiaye’s penalty cancelled out Daniel Munoz’s opener.

Erling Haaland’s ninth-minute finish proved enough for Manchester City to scrape victory at Brentford with a 1-0 win.

First-half goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko eased pressure on Ruben Amorim as Manchester United snatched a 2-0 home win over Sunderland.
