Manchester United look to return to winning ways in a blockbuster Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Victory could lift Man Utd up to eighth if results elsewhere go in their favour, whilst Chelsea can go second with a win if Tottenham fail to beat Brighton.

Stat Attack
- Man Utd have lost just two of their last ten league meetings against Chelsea (W2, D6, L2).
- Chelsea are winless in their last 12 league visits to Man Utd (D7, L5).
- Bruno Fernandes has scored in two of Utd’s last three meetings against Chelsea.
- Patrick Dorgu and Bruno Fernandes have won more duels than any other Man Utd player this season (28).
- Moises Caicedo has scored in each of Chelsea’s two away games in the top flight this season (W1, D1).
Prediction
Despite enjoying several periods of positive spells against City, Utd continued to reverted to their wasteful end product which undid the positive attacking work of their win against Burnley prior to the international break, which leaves serious questions as to what performance to expect here.
Their defensive play though is just a major concern for Ruben Amorim because although he is clearly doing his best, his players just aren’t responding to his tactical decisions which could suit Chelsea if they attack like City did and just as clinical.
Chelsea meanwhile were simply outplayed at Bayern which was to be expected but they at least took the fight to the Bundesliga club which is a positive, but their eyes surely would of been on this match which is winnable if they turn up with the right attack and cut out the defensive errors.
Old Trafford though has been the Blues’ Achilles heel over the last decade and a bit but if there is a time to end that rut, it is now if they can target Utd’s fragile defence with enough clinical final touches.
Prediction: Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea
Result: Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea
