2025-26 Premier League: Week Four – West Ham vs Tottenham

West Ham host top-four-chasing Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League clash between the London rivals.

Victory could move West Ham four points clear of the relegation zone and towards the cusp of the top ten depending on results elsewhere.

Tottenham can go top with a win if Arsenal slip up or they better the Gunners’ winning margin against Nottingham Forest.

Team News

Niclas Fullkrug is a doubt for West Ham after he returned early from international duty due to a calf injury.

George Earthy (foot) faces a late fitness check but Luis Guilherme (shoulder) is ruled out.

Soungoutou Magassa, Dimitri Colau and Igor Julio could make their club debuts.

Tottenham will welcome Dominic Solanke back after he missed their defeat to Bournemouth due to a foot injury.

Yves Bissouma (unspecified) could also return but Radu Dragusin, James Maddison (both ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Kota Takai (foot) are ruled out.

Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo-Muani could make their club debuts.

When is Kick-Off?

West Ham host Tottenham at London Stadium on Saturday 13 September at 5:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.

Prediction

Having produced a ruthless late victory at Nottingham Forest after weathering a strong home attack, West Ham now need to ensure that it is the kick-start to their season and continue to tighten up defensively but be equally clinical if want to avoid a relegation fight.

Tottenham meanwhile just struggled to handle Bournemouth’s intensity and attack-limiting tactics in their defeat so I expect them to hopefully bring more creativity into this game because they’re definitely capable of getting back to winning ways if take more risks tactically against intense opposition.

If Spurs indeed do show more bravery and creativity risks then I expect them to get the win but Paqueta is in form for West Ham and could deny them a clean sheet.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Tottenham

Result: West Ham 0-3 Tottenham
