Bournemouth have signed winger, Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen in a £25.1m transfer.

Adli’s move has brought his four-year spell at Leverkusen to an end, during which he helped them achieve the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2023-24 season.

Bournemouth have paid an initial £18.2m fixed fee but there is £6.9m in add-ons which could take the total fee up to £25.1m if every add-on clause is achieved, with Adli happy to embark on a new chapter in his career as he signed a five-year contract.

“I’m very proud first of all to play for a club like Bournemouth. I was looking at my next move and I felt like Bournemouth was the perfect place for me.

“The people around give me a lot of confidence here and I’m very impressed with the facilities. The people at the club are full of love, so I’m very happy and proud to play for Bournemouth and hopefully achieve good things.”

Bournemouth’s President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto added: “We’re thrilled to bring a player of such calibre to AFC Bournemouth. Amine is a proven winner and someone that will be a real asset to our squad. He’s entering the prime of his career and I’m really excited to bring him to the club.

“He’s someone that has competed at the highest level and his ambition is very much aligned with ours. I’m looking forward to working together and seeing what we can achieve.”

Adli began his career at Paulhan-Pezenas before he moved to Beziers then Toulouse, where he graduated through their youth academy to make his senior debut in December 2019 in a 4-1 Coupe de France defeat to Lyon.

The winger – who can also play in attacking midfield and as a forward – went on to score eight goals in 43 appearances for Toulouse before he moved to Leverkusen, where he managed 23 goals in 143 appearances with the two aforementioned titles plus 2024 DFB Supercup.

His final appearance for Leverkusen came in the first round of this season’s DFB Pokal in a 4-0 away victory at Sonnenhof Grossaspach.

Adli represented France Under-18s and 21s between 2017-2023 before he switched his senior allegiance to Morocco, which has seen him go on to score one goal in 15 senior international caps.
