Wrexham Sign Moore from Sheffield Utd

Wrexham have signed Wales striker, Kieffer Moore from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

Moore’s move comes just one season after he joined the Blades from Bournemouth and scored six goals in 30 appearances, as Utd missed out on promotion with defeat in the Championship Play-Off Final.

He has now signed a three-year contract with Wrexham who return to the second tier for the first time since 1981-82 season, and is excited to be part of the Red Dragons’ bid to achieve a fourth consecutive promotion.

“I’m over the moon to join the Club and I can’t wait to get started.

“I want to be that experienced leader and bring a lot to the team. My work ethic is one of my strongest assets and I want to be someone that can help drive the team forward.”

Manager, Phil Parkinson added: “We’re delighted to welcome Kieffer to the Club. He’s a player with a lot of Championship and international experience and we’re looking forward to working with him.”

Moore began his career at Torquay with their youth academy but made his senior debut at Truro City and went on to play for Dorchester and Yeovil before a spell at Norway’s Viking between 2015-16, which was followed by a stint at Forest Green Rovers.

During his spell at Forest Green, he spent a month on loan at Torquay between November – December 2016, before a move to Ipswich followed in January 2017 but he was loaned out to Rotherham in the second half of that year.

Moore subsequently played for Barnsley, Cardiff and Wigan before he moved to Bournemouth in January 2022, where he helped the Cherries claim promotion at the end of that season to the Premier League in which he scored four goals in 29 appearances the following season.

The 2023-24 season saw Moore manage two goals in 13 appearances for Bournemouth but he was loaned out to Ipswich in the second half of the campaign, which ended in another promotion to the top-flight with seven goals in 18 appearances from Moore.

Moore represents Wales at international level with 14 goals in 49 appearances since his debut in September 2019.
