ITV and BBC have selected their UK broadcast picks for the semi-finals of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

ITV held first pick for this stage of the tournament which saw them naturally select the opening semi-final tie involving reigning champions – England, as Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses meet Italy at Stade de Geneve, Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday 22 July at 9pm CEST (8pm UK Time).

ITV’s coverage will commence at 7pm BST live on ITV1 (STV in Scotland) with a hour-long build-up to the match, with Laura Woods presenting the broadcast which will also be streamed live on ITVX and STV Player.

England overcame Sweden 3-2 in a chaotically emotional rollercoaster of a penalty shootout after Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang salvaged a 2-2 draw, having fell behind to first-half goals from Kosovare Asllani and Stina Blackstenius.

Cristiana Girelli’s brace meanwhile saw Italy beat Norway in their opening Quarter-Final tie to reach the last four for the first time since 1997.

BBC consequently were left with a blockbuster showdown between title favourites, Germany and Spain in the second semi-final on Wednesday 23 July at Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich, at 9pm CEST (8pm UK Time).

Coverage of that semi-final will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK from 7:30pm with Gabby Logan leading the broadcast.

Germany needed penalties to scrape past France in a pulsating Quarter-Final in which Ann-Katrin Berge made several saves to keep their title dreams alive, after the eight-time winners had been reduced to ten women in the 13th players following Kathrin Hendrich’s red card for a hair pull incident.

Spain dispatched tournament hosts, Switzerland through clinical second-half goals from Athenea del Castillo and Claudia Pina in a tense Quarter-Final encounter, where the world champions weren’t at their absolute best.
