ITV have announced their initial free-to-air broadcast selection of the 2026-27 EFL season up to 19 December.
Alongside their Carabao Cup coverage which commences at the Riverside Stadium on Friday 7 August as Middlesbrough host Wrexham at 8pm BST, ITV will simulcast five Championship matches with Sky Sports across the first five months of the season followed by a further five between January – April 2027.
ITV’s first live league match will take place on Saturday 29 August as last season’s losing play-off finalists, Middlesbrough host West Bromwich at the Riverside Stadium at 12:30pm.
ITV will then head south to The Den on Saturday 19 September in another 12:30pm kick-off, as Millwall host local rivals, West Ham in a London derby in the last round of games before the first men’s international break of the season.
On the first weekend back from the international break across weekend of 9-11 October, ITV will broadcast the South Coast derby between Southampton and Portsmouth at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday 11 October at 12pm.
ITV’s pick in November will see them visit Turf Moor on Sunday 22 November at 12pm GMT as Burnley face Blackburn in a Lancashire derby.
Rounding off ITV’s initial five-match selection is Birmingham City’s home match against West Ham on Saturday 19 December at St Andrew’s in a 12:30pm kick-off.
Details of ITV’s remaining five FTA league picks will be announced in due course later in the season.
