Nicke Kabamba’s 114th-minute winner saw Bromley complete their pre-season training camp in Albufeira, Portugal, with a 4-3 friendly victory over Lincoln City.
Kabamba tucked in the winner from close-range in a thrilling friendly to clinch Bromley’s second victory in pre-season, after they came from behind to beat Tottenham Under-21s at home in their opening friendly fixture prior to their 2-1 loss to Rotherham.
Ben Thompson and Marcus Dinanga fired Andy Woodman’s Bromley into a 2-0 lead at half-time before Jack Moylan pulled a goal back in the 48th minute for the Imps.
Thompson netted his second goal in the 54th minute after he followed up Corey Whitely’s shot on the rebound to restore Bromley’s two-goal lead.
Quick-fire headers from Tom Hamer and Ryley Towler in the 99th and 103rd minutes however saw Lincoln City pull level prior to Kabamba’s winner.
With both teams having rotated players from their previous pre-season friendlies, it was Lincoln who almost drew first blood in the sixth minute as ex Bromley winger, Reeco Hackett-Fairchild teed up Moylan whose shot was saved by Sam Long.
Bromley however opened the scoring through a 13th-minute strike from Thompson low into the bottom left corner from the edge of the box.
Woodman’s Ravens however weren’t allowed to settle following the opener as Jovon Makama, Freddie Draper, Moylan and Ethan soon forced successive saves from Long.
Dinanga eventually broke Lincoln City’s fierce fightback with a 39th-minute close-range strike which doubled Bromley’s lead ahead of half-time, with the 27-year-old’s fifth goal in pre-season following his return from an Achilles injury.
Moylan however pulled a goal back for Lincoln City in the 48th minute but six minutes later, Thompson restored Bromley’s two-goal lead with a rebound strike from Whitely’s initial shot which was blocked by Zach Jeacock, after Jeacock had replaced George Wickens at half time for the Imps.
Bromley subsequently made ten changes on the hour mark with only Sam Long staying on the pitch from the initial starting line-up.
Bromley: Sam Long, Carl Jenkinson, Omar Sowunmi, Trialist A, Idris Odutayo, Jude Arthurs, Will Hondermarck, Tade Ibrahim, Brooklyn Ilunga, Nicke Kabamba, Soul Kader
Lincoln City also rung the changes on the hour mark with only Jamie Pardington and Gbolahan Okewoye not introduced as substitutes, whilst Trialist A was the sole starting outfield player left on the pitch.
Long however was substituted for Trialist B in the 74th minute whilst Ibrahim saw a shot denied by Jeacock.
This friendly however was played with 30-minutes of extra time to allow both clubs to assess the fitness of their squads in the event that a FA Cup match this season goes the full distance, as Arthurs missed a change to add a fourth goal from a 97th-minute free-kick.
That chance soon proved costly as quick-fire headers from Hamer and Towler from Tom Bayliss’ corners saw Lincoln make it 3-3 in the 103rd minute.
Lincoln City’s Zane Okoro saw two shots denied as the Imps looked to complete an unlikely comeback in the closing minutes.
Bromley however snatched a 114th-minute winner to seal their second victory of pre-season as Ilunga played a low pass across for Kabamba to tuck in, having picked up Jenkinson’s initial pass to the left flank.
Woodman’s Ravens now prepare to return home to face Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Millwall at Copperjax Stadium on 19, 22 and 26 July respectively.
