F1 continues their second triple-header of the 2025 season with a trip to the Principality for the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix.
McLaren’s Oscar Piastri comes into this race still in the title lead but with a reduced gap of 13 points to his teammate, Lando Norris, whilst Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is in hot pursuit as the reigning champion chases a fifth consecutive crown.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc however will arrive at his home event seeking to defend his home victory of 2024 but faces a tough ask after a tough start to the season for the Scuderia.

Five Key Pointers
- Given limited overtaking opportunities around Monaco, this race weekend will be mainly about Qualifying which is likely to determine much of the eventual race order.
- With straight-line speed less of an issue around this high-downforce, there is potential for a mini shake-up further down the pecking order concerning some teams.
- Given the potential for safety cars at any moment around Monaco and a new mandatory two-stopper, this race should throw open mixed tyre strategies if some drivers are out of position and run longer in hope of safety car periods.
- Ferrari will be bringing their 2024 rear wing spec to Monaco which could prove interesting in terms of fitting the SF-25 car setup, and potentially see them be more competitive in Qualifying.
- Red Bull’s upgrades in Imola saw reduced sliding which will be a huge help around this street circuit and allow their drivers to push harder to challenge McLaren for pole in Qualifying.

Leclerc led the Monaco GP from lights out to checkered flag for an iconic victory on his home soil in 2024, albeit after a 40-minute red flag due to a first-lap incident involving Sergio Perez, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg.
