Defender, Byron Webster has signed a new one-year contract at Bromley until June 2026.
The latest contract will see Webster remain with the Ravens for a sixth consecutive season, having first joined in September 2020 and has gone on to score 12 goals in 183 appearances across all competitions.
Webster is also club captain and scored the winning penalty which sealed Bromley’s promotion to the EFL at end of 2023-25 National League season, as the Ravens beat Solihull Moors in a classic play-off final which finished 2-2 after extra time.
He then went on to score one goal in 31 appearances this season – which came in a 3-1 away loss at Bradford – which marked his 12th EFL campaign and first with Bromley, who finished the season in 11th position in their first year as a League Two club.
The Ravens also reached the Third Round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history which saw their run end at Newcastle United in a 3-1 loss, having initially taken a surprise early lead through loanee – Cameron Congreve.
Webster also guided Bromley to the 2021-22 FA Trophy with victory over Wrexham in that season’s Final at Wembley Stadium.
This announcement also meant that Webster is the second player to sign a new contract with Bromley in the post-season period, after Jude Arthurs also penned a new deal with the Ravens.
