Stockport County host Leyton Orient in the second leg of their play-off semi-final in 2024-25 League One.
With the tie locked at 2-2 on aggregate after a controversial first leg, victory would see Stockport or Leyton Orient advance to the play-off final on 25 May at Wembley Stadium.
A draw would see this tie go to extra time and potentially penalties.

Stat Attack
- Stockport drew 2-2 away to Leyton Orient in their first EFL Play-Off meeting, which came in the first leg of this semi-final tie.
- Leyton Orient have avoided defeat in three of their last five visits to Stockport (W2, D1, L2).
- Stockport have conceded at least two goals in each of their last four home clashes against Leyton Orient.
- Stockport have kept four clean sheets in their last ten home games (W9, D1)
- Charlie Kelman has produced five goals and one assist in Leyton Orient’s last four away games (W4).
Prediction
With the tie firmly in the balance and holding home advantage in this return leg, Stockport just need to be as clinical as they were in the first leg and take heart from their superb home form as this is now theirs to realistically lose on their own turf, whilst Orient’s offside opener will also be extra motivation.
Orient likewise need to be as clinical as they were in that game but try and cut out the defensive mistakes after conceding twice from in front, but they do have the in-form Kelman who certainly will be difficult to stop if he plays with the same quality as he did at home.
Nevertheless I can see another fiery battle unfolding as both teams have a rare chance of a trip to Wembley and the first-leg drama will only fuel the desire, but Stockport should nick this if it goes to penalties.
Prediction: Stockport 2-2 Leyton Orient
Result: Stockport 1-1 Leyton Orient (Tie finishes 3-3 on aggregate, Leyton Orient win 4-1 on penalties)
