Roundup of latest Premier League action which saw the first relegated club confirmed amidst a managerial sacking.

Luis Diaz’s second-half strike couldn’t prevent a shock 3-2 defeat for league leaders, Liverpool, away at Fulham, after Alexis Mac Allister put the Reds in front before Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz wrapped up an eventual comeback win for the Cottagers following Ryan Sessegnon’s equaliser.

Leandro Trossard’s 34th-minute counter-attack goal was cancelled out by Iliman Ndiaye’s 49th-minute penalty as Arsenal slipped 11 points off the summit with a 1-1 draw at Everton.

Nottingham Forest stayed third after Jota Silva’s second-half consolatory strike couldn’t prevent a 2-1 loss at Aston Villa, in which Morgan Rogers and Donyell Malen netted quick-fire goals in the space of three minutes.

Chelsea rounded out the top four with a goalless draw at West London rivals, Brentford.

Down in the relegation zone, Southampton sacked Ivan Juric following confirmation of their relegation after a 3-1 loss at Tottenham, where Brennan Johnson’s brace and Matthys Tel’s penalty gave the hosts victory despite Matheus Fernandes having briefly halved the Saints’ deficit.

Leicester stayed second-bottom but became the first team to not score in eight consecutive home games as they fell to a 3-0 loss against Newcastle, as Jacob Murphy struck twice before ex Leicester player, Harvey Barnes wrapped up victory against his old team.

Ipswich’s survival hopes were dealt an enormous blow as second-half goals from Pablo Sarabia and Jorgen Strand Larsen secured a comeback 2-1 away win for Wolves, having fallen behind to Liam Delap’s 16th-minute goal for the third-bottom Tractor Boys.
