Crystal Palace meet top-four chasing Brighton & Hove Albion in the M23 derby at Selhurst Park.
Victory would see Palace climb to 11th in the table, whilst Brighton can go sixth with a win.
Team News
Chris Richards is again ruled out for Palace after he sat out their 1-1 draw at Southampton in midweek, having picked up a calf injury.
Will Hughes is back from suspension but Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad (both knee) remain sidelined.
Brighton have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 3-0 home loss to Aston Villa in midweek.
Jason Steele (shoulder), Joel Veltman (foot), Tariq Lamptey, Georginio Rutter (both ankle), Ferdi Kadioglu (toe), Adam Webster, Igor Julio and James Milner (all hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Palace host Brighton at Selhurst Park on Saturday 5 April at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Palace have won one of their last seven meetings against Brighton (W1, D4, L2).
- Brighton have won one of their seven previous Premier League trips to Palace (W1, D5, L1), during which their last five visits all ended in 1-1 draws.
- Victory would see Palace claim a first Premier League double over Brighton.
- Adam Wharton has been booked in each of Palace’s last two league matches.
- Brighton are yet to win away in London this season to teams based in the UK capital (D2, L2).
Prediction
After a frustrating draw at Southampton in which they looked pretty wasteful in their final touches for much of their dominance, Palace need to try and rediscover the sharp polished display which they showed at Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend.
Brighton though were just outclassed by Villa in the second half of their clash but with the top-four race still incredibly close, they can’t afford another slip-up so a more solid defensive effort is needed now if they want to push for European qualification.
This fixture though has often been very closely fought and I just can’t see this being any different unless Palace improve their end product.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton
Result: Crystal Palace 2-1 Brighton
