QPR host relegation-battling Luton in a Championship clash at Loftus Road.
Victory will lift QPR up to 13th in the table, whilst Luton can climb to 18th with a win.
Team News
Ronnie Edwards could make his debut for QPR following his loan move from Southampton.
Karamoko Dembele (knee), Zan Celar (hamstring) and Steve Cook (foot) are still ruled out.
Luton will welcome Joseph Johnson and Liam Walsh back from suspensions, which saw the pair miss the Hatters’ New Year’s Day loss to Norwich.
Shandon Baptiste (calf), Reece Burke (quad), Alfie Doughty (ankle) and Tom Lockyer (illness) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
QPR host Luton at Loftus Road on Monday 6 January at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Football in the UK.
Stat Attack
- QPR have won five of their last seven league meetings against Luton (W5, L2).
- Luton are winless in their last 15 league trips to QPR since a 3-2 win in October 1984 in the Old First Division (W1, D5, L9).
- Both QPR and Luton have scored in three of their last five meetings at Loftus Road.
- QPR are unbeaten in their last five home games (W4, D1).
- Luton have lost each of their last nine away trips (L9).
Prediction
With just one loss in their last 10 matches and in strong home form after a confident win over Watford, QPR just need to continue to play with the same clinical quality that they’ve done lately but cut out their defensive errors if want to push higher up the table.
Luton meanwhile just can’t see to find any form on the road but have been unlucky to lose their festive games by narrow margins, whilst their attack just isn’t firing much as saw in a wasteful defeat to Norwich so urgent improvement is needed ASAP.
I however can’t see that happening here such is QPR’s confidence and home form but it should still be close if Luton can dig in.
Prediction: QPR 1-0 Luton
Result: QPR 2-1 Luton
