Stat Attack
- Forest have lost their last six league meetings against Tottenham (L6).
- Tottenham have claimed 10 points in their last seven top-flight visits to Forest (W3, D1, L3).
- Spurs have kept clean sheets in their last three league trips to Forest.
- Anthony Elanga has scored in Forest’s last two matches (W2).
- Dejan Kulusevski has scored in Spurs’ last five games in all competitions (W2, D1, L2).
Prediction
Following their ruthlessly clinical win at Brentford, Forest now need to play with the same defensive resilience and attacking composure if want a result here as they will be in for a tough test of their top-four credentials.
Tottenham well are certainly ‘spursy’ in terms of results but their attacking flair is consistent amidst shaky defending, which was brutally ripped apart by Liverpool amidst serious injury issues so a quick regrouping is needed for this game.
Fraser Forster however is Spurs’ weak link after two error-strewn displays so I wouldn’t be surprised if Ange Postecoglou gambles on Brandon Austin in goal, just to take some pressure off Forster.
Nevertheless, I do expect a competitive game and a draw might be a fair outcome, unless Spurs are more solid defensively which could be enough for them to snatch an away win.
Prediction: Forest 1-1 Tottenham
Result: Forest 1-0 Tottenham
