Oliver Goethe is staying with MP Motorsport for 2025 F2 season.

Goethe stepped up to F2 at Monza following Franco Colapinto’s mid-season promotion to F1, and scored his first points in the Qatar Feature Race with a fourth-placed finish.

His performances amidst three retirements in six races ultimately persuaded MP Motorsport to retain him for the 2025 season, alongside Richard Verschoor who returned to the team in Qatar following Dennis Hauger’s exit.

Goethe is “excited” to graduate full-time to F2 next season and stay with MP Motorsport, continuing their partnership beyond Abu Dhabi.

“The team and I have already built a great relationship, and I feel at home here. I’m ready to take on the challenge of Formula 2 with their guidance and expertise.

“The competition will be tough, but I’m confident we can achieve great things together.”

MP Motorsport Team Principal, Sander Dorsman welcomed Goethe’s decision to stay, having previously raced for the team in 2020 Spanish F4 and 2021 FRECA seasons.

“Oliver fitted right back in as soon as he rejoined our team and we look forward to repeating the strong results we gained in our time together in Spanish F4 and, of course, only recently at Macau in the FIA FR World Cup.

“Along with Richard, we have two very familiar faces in our team, and we aim to build on their close bond with the team to finish this season on a high and come out strong in 2025.”
