Bromley are delighted with a “wow” third round trip to Newcastle United in 2024-25 FA Cup.

Omar Sowunmi and Danny Imray fired Andy Woodman’s Ravens to a comeback 2-1 second round win at Solihull Moors, which ensured a first-ever appearance in the third round which will take place between 10-13 January 2025.

Woodman post-match boldly declared Newcastle to be his “ideal” dream third round opposition, which became reality after Dion Dublin drew them away at Eddie Howe’s Magpies after Mark Hughes drew Newcastle as the home team.

The 53 year-old manager was previously a Goalkeeping Coach at Newcastle from December 2010 to Summer 2015, making this reunion all the more special for him.

The draw consequently left Levi Amantchi and Jude Arthurs thrilled by a trip to St James’ Park, as the pair took to social media platform, X to celebrate.

Bromley meanwhile shared the reaction of Chief Executive Officer, Mark Hammond plus assistant manager, Alan Dunne as they witnessed the moment that Bromley were drawn against Newcastle.

Bromley’s away trip also delighted many fans who can’t wait to make the trip up north as underdogs, knowing that the occasion will be exciting no matter the result.

Even Newcastle fans were ecstatic at the draw and a reunion with Woodman with promise of a fun away day.
