Coventry City have appointed Frank Lampard as Head Coach on a two-and-a-half year contract until June 2027.
The move marks Lampard’s return to management following an interim spell at Chelsea at end of 2022-23 season, having previously taken charge from summer 2019 until January 2021.
Coventry owner and Executive Chairman, Doug King has welcomed Lampard’s arrival just three weeks following Mark Robins’ sacking.
“I am delighted that Frank Lampard has agreed to join our club as Head Coach. Frank cut his teeth in the Championship and knows what is needed in this League to be successful.
“His experiences thereafter at Chelsea and Everton will ensure he brings to our talented squad clear understanding of exactly what is needed to succeed at the very top level that we as a Club are striving to reach.”
Lampard has previous Championship experience after he took Derby to the Play-Offs in 2018-19 season, and spent a year at Everton in-between his spells at Chelsea.
