Relegation-battling Everton host Brentford at Goodison Park in a Premier League clash.
Victory could see Everton move up to 14th if Leicester loses in the lunchtime kick-off, whilst Brentford can climb into the top ten with a win.
Team News
Dwight McNeil is available for Everton after he missed their goalless draw at West Ham with a knee injury.
Youssef Chermiti, Armando Broja (both foot) and Jarrad Branthwaite (knock) are also expected to feature in the matchday squad.
James Garner (back), Tim Iroegbunam (foot) and Seamus Coleman (hamstring) remain absent.
Brentford expect to have Bryan Mbeumo, Ethan Pinnock and Yoane Wissa available, despite the trio having suffered minor injuries in the international window.
Igor Thiago (knee) and Gustavo Nunes (back) are doubts.
Kristoffer Ajer (foot), Josh Dasilva, Rico Henry (both knee) and Aaron Hickey (hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Everton host Brentford at Goodison Park on Saturday 23 November at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Everton have lost two of six previous Premier League meetings against Brentford (W3, D1, L2).
- Brentford have lost two of three previous Premier League visits to Goodison Park (W1, L2).
- Everton have won both of their last two home games against Brentford by a 1-0 result.
- Six of Everton’s seven yellow cards at home in this season’s top-flight were dished out in the second half.
- Brentford have scored in four of five league games on the road this season (L5).
Prediction
Having dug deep to claim a goalless draw at West Ham a fortnight ago, Everton now need to be more clinical following two wasteful performances before the break and Branthwaite’s return could be a huge boost.
Brentford meanwhile look a team of two halves because their attacking quality is evident yet their defence is often messy as saw against Bournemouth, which needs to be more joined up if want to push into the top-half of the table.
Everton though are unbeaten in three home games which will pose an issue for Brentford who are winless away this season – specifically in the league, but I do feel that they can snap that streak here if their attack is on fire.
Prediction: Everton 1-2 Brentford
Result: Everton 0-0 Brentford
