2024-25 League 2: Week 10 – Fleetwood Town vs Bromley

Fleetwood Town host Bromley at Highbury in a stand-out League Two fixture.

If Doncaster fail to beat Grimsby, victory would see Fleetwood go third in the table ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.

Bromley meanwhile can go 14th with a win for at least a few hours.

Team News

Fleetwood have no fresh injury concerns following their midweek win at Walsall.

Zech Medley (Achilles) and Harrison Holdgate (knock) are both still sidelined.

Bromley have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-2 draw against Chesterfield.

Ex Arsenal defender, Carl Jenkinson is still waiting for his debut appearance for the Ravens.

When is Kick-Off?

Fleetwood host Bromley at Highbury on Saturday 5 October at 12:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports + in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • This is Fleetwood’s first EFL meeting against Bromley.
  • This is Bromley’s first league visit to Fleetwood Town, having lost 3-0 on their only previous visit in November 2012 in that season’s FA Cup.
  • Fleetwood Town are yet to lose at home this season when broadcast on Sky Sports – including on Sky Sports + Red Button (W3, D1).
  • Three of Bromley’s four away goals in the league so far this season came after half-time.

Prediction

Now sat sixth following their ruthless second-half demolition at Walsall in midweek, Fleetwood certainly hitting their form and you can’t help but feel that they could kick on but it is easy for them to slip up if quickly get complacent.

Bromley therefore know that this is likely a free hit because they do have the attacking quality to cause issues, yet their defence is their Achilles heel so I would like to see Andy Woodman bring in Jenkinson to add experience here at the back.

Goals therefore feel likely given that Fleetwood only have one clean sheet in their last eight in all competitions, but I can see the hosts taking the win unless Bromley tighten up at the back which is a huge ask.

Prediction: Fleetwood Town 3-1 Bromley

Result: Fleetwood 0-0 Bromley
