Luton face a desperate final-day battle for Premier League survival against Fulham at Kenilworth Road.
With only a victory offering any chance at survival, Luton need to win by at least six goals or more and hope that Forest lose by seven goals or more at Burnley in order to stay up.
Fulham meanwhile can finish 12th with a win if Crystal Palace and Wolves both lose elsewhere.
Team News
Ross Barkley will miss Luton’s final match of the season after he suffered a calf injury during their 3-1 defeat at West Ham.
Dan Potts (hamstring) and Mads Andersen (calf) could return but Reece Burke (Achilles) is ruled out.
Amari’i Bell (hamstring), Marvelous Nakamba, Jacob Brown (both knee), Issa Kabore (ankle) and Tom Lockyer (illness) remain absent.
Fulham will be without defender, Issa Diop after he was sent off in their 4-0 home loss to Manchester City last weekend.
Sasa Lukic (calf) remains sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Luton host Fulham at Kenilworth Road on Sunday 19 May at 4pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Luton lost their only previous Premier League meeting against Fulham by a 1-0 result at Craven Cottage in September 2023.
- Fulham are visiting Luton for the first time in the Premier League, but are unbeaten in four of their last seven league visits (W2, D2, L3).
- Defeat would see Luton lose three consecutive league matches against Fulham for the first time since October 1953 – October 1954.
- Out of the bottom-three clubs coming into this matchweek, no player has made more interceptions this season than Luton’s Teden Mengi (57).
- Rodrigo Muniz has produced more shots than any other Fulham player this season (27).
Prediction
With a very slim chance of survival but needing to win by a huge margin and for Burnley to do them a favour against Forest, Luton certainly need to ideally score early then just go on a clinical goalscoring rampage to give themselves any hope of staying up.
Fulham meanwhile are safe in what has been an underwhelming season compared to last season results wise, but they will certainly want to finish with a win after they were outclassed by Man City from start to finish.
I however do feel that Luton are quietly resigned to their impending fate but hopefully they can go down with one last hurrah such is Fulham’s awful away form.
Prediction: Luton 1-0 Fulham
Result: Luton 2-4 Fulham
