  • Given the similarities in track characteristics between Albert Park and Imola, Ferrari will come into this race confident that they can challenge Red Bull for victory.
  • After introducing their new upgrade package fully to Lando Norris’ car with success in Miami, McLaren will hope that Oscar Piastri can take a step forward here with his upgrades.
  • Having struggled for consistency across the last two rounds due to the sprint weekend format, Mercedes can finally assess their upgrades across a normal race weekend.
  • With this race marking the start of the European stage of the season, many teams could introduce upgrades in hope of shaking up the pecking order.
  • Weather forecasts suggest a small possibility of rain affecting the race but Friday and Saturday are forecast to be dry.

Last Time Out

F1’s visit to Imola in 2023 was cancelled at a few days’ notice on safety grounds in 2023 due to floods in the region, which even affected the F2 paddock amidst the awful weather conditions.
