Roundup of the final day of 2023-24 Sky Bet Championship season as the final standings were confirmed.
Ipswich and Leeds battled for promotion with the Tractor Boys needing one point to condemn Daniel Farke’s Whites to the Play-Offs.
Huddersfield, Birmingham, Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn all found themselves in a five-way scrap for survival, which contained various permutations aside from Huddersfield and Birmingham initially needing to win their games.
Norwich and West Brom meanwhile began the final day on the cusp of securing their play-off spots with Hull lurking on the outside hoping for a slip-up elsewhere if the Tigers won their game.
Promotion

Relegation
Paik Seung-Ho headed in a 55th minute rebound winner for Birmingham City in a narrow win over Norwich at home, which briefly gave them hope of survival.
Blackburn however extinguished the hopes of the Blues with a 2-0 win at champions, Leicester through Sammie Szmodics’ second-half brace, which sent Birmingham down to League One for next season.
First-half goals from Liam Palmer and Josh Windass secured Sheffield Wednesday’s survival with a 2-0 win at Sunderland.
Joe Edwards’ 40th minute header preserved Plymouth’s Championship status with a 1-0 home win over Hull, which in-turn ended the Tigers’ play-off ambitions at the final hurdle.
Already relegated Rotherham ran out 5-2 winners at home to Cardiff in a seven-goal thriller in which Jordan Hugill and Tom Eaves netted twice, whilst Sam Nombe also scored for the Millers after Nat Phillips and Ollie Tanner had twice dragged the Bluebirds level from behind.
