Brentford have no fresh injury concerns to report after their defeat at Manchester City last week.

Aaron Hickey (hamstring), Josh Dasilva, Rico Henry (both knee), Kevin Schade (adductor), Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo (both ankle) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

West Ham host Brentford at London Stadium on Monday 26 February at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • West Ham have lost all five previous Premier League meetings against Brentford (L5).
  • Brentford have won each of their last two Premier League visits to West Ham (W2).
  • Thomas Frank’s Bees have won three of their five previous Premier League meetings against West Ham by 2-0 result.
  • West Ham have claimed four points from three London derbies played at home this season (W1, D1, L1).
  • Brentford have scored first in each of their four London derbies away from home this season (W2, L2).

Prediction

With 11 goals conceded in their last three matches without scoring, West Ham certainly need to rediscover their spark otherwise Europa League will become their priority, but they face a uphill struggle to end this league hoodoo.

David Moyes’ task here therefore has to be to get his players back to their energetic pressing best because they have been lacklustre lately, which simply has to change and Paqueta might be what they need if he is fit enough to feature.

Brentford meanwhile will be glad to have lost by a single goal at Man City through a tiny but costly error because their defending otherwise was excellent, but I do expect them to show more attack here because this is a huge chance to boost their survival prospects given the Hammers’ woes.

Thomas Frank’s Bees though should be aware that West Ham have lost two of their last 10 league games at home, but I do fancy the visitors to win this because it will take a huge improvement for the Hammers to take victory given their low confidenc at the minute.

Prediction: West Ham 0-1 Brentford

Result: West Ham 4-2 Brentford
