Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will face Ajax in the Round of 16 in 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Emery’s Villa topped Group E to bypass the Knockout Play-Offs but will now face Ajax for a place in the Quarter-Finals, after the Dutch club battled past Bodø/Glimt in their knockout play-off tie which went to extra-time.
Molde’s reward for eliminating Legia Warsaw – who had finished second in Villa’s group – is a tie against Club Brugge, with the Belgian club having topped Group D without suffering defeat.
Union Saint-Gilloise stunned Eintracht Frankfurt in the play-offs to secure their Last 16 spot and will now face a tough test against Fenerbahce, with the Turkish club having only topped Group H by virtue of their overall superior goal difference to Ludogorets Razgrad.
Dinamo Zagreb were the only group runners-up to survive the knockout play-offs and will now face PAOK who had topped Group G ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt – in a group which also contained Aberdeen.
Sturm Graz’s reward for thashing Slovan Bratislava is a tricky tie against Lille, who had topped Group A with four wins and two draws.
Last season’s runners-up, Fiorentina will look to avoid a cupset against Maccabi Haifa, whilst Haifa’s fellow Israelian rivals – Maccabi Tel Aviv face Olympiacos in another difficult tie.
Servette edged out Ludogorets Razgrad in their play-off and will now meet Viktoria Plzen after the pair were first drawn out of the pot together.
First legs will be played on Thursday 7 March followed by the return legs a week later on Thursday 14 March.
