Second half goals from Phil Foden, Julien Alvarez and Bernardo Silva saw Manchester City fight back to win 3-1 at Everton and move up to fourth, after Jack Harrison had fired the Toffees into a half-time lead but Sean Dyche’s men now sit one point below the drop zone.
Down in the relegation zone, late own-goals from Jack Robinson and Anis Ben Silmane saw rock bottom Sheffield United lose 3-2 at home to third bottom Luton, having fought back to lead through Oli McBurnie and Anel Ahmedhodzic after Alfie Doughty put the Hatters ahead at half time.
Nottingham Forest stayed two points clear of the drop and moved up to 16th position after Chris Wood’s comeback hat-trick fired them to a first-ever Premier League win at Newcastle, after the Magpies had led through Alexander Isak’s 23rd minute penalty.
Crystal Palace’s six-point gap above the bottom three was reduced to three points following a 2-1 loss at Chelsea, as Noni Madueke netted a 89th minute winner from the penalty spot after Mykhailo Mudryk’s opening goal was cancelled out by Michael Olise.
