Sat just seven points away from the play-off spots, Bristol City can take heart from how they resiliently fought to snatch a narrow win over Sunderland despite having failed to offer much attacking quality and end product in open play.
Hull meanwhile are a difficult team to beat when their best players are fit because they were robust and ruthless in how they beat Cardiff, because they will need a similar performance if they want to end their winless streak at Ashton Gate.
Now if both teams can produce a similar level of performance to last week but with the Robins showing more attacking spirit, I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets scrappy and ends in a draw like the reverse fixture in August did on Humberside.
