Hull City host Bristol City at MKM Stadium in a Friday Night Football clash in the Championship.
Victory by a two-goal margin or more would see Hull climb to the summit ahead of Saturday’s action, whilst Bristol City can go seventh with a win.
Team News

Ruben Vinagre is set to start for Hull after he missed their last two matches with a thigh injury, which saw the Tigers beat Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn.
Allahyar Sayyadmanesh (calf) is also available but Greg Docherty (knee) and Dogukan Sinik (shoulder) both remain absent.
Bristol City have no fresh injury concerns to report after their defeat against Birmingham City last weekend.
Ross McCrorie (illness), Tommy Conway (hamstring), Ayman Benarous (knock) and Rob Atkinson (ACL) remain ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Hull host Bristol City at MKM Stadium in a 7:30pm BST kick-off on Friday 25 August, albeit untelevised in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Hull have won just one of their last ten meetings against Bristol City (W1, D3, L6).
- Bristol City are unbeaten in four of their last five visits to Hull (W2, D2, L1).
- Both teams have scored in each of their last five meetings at the MKM Stadium.
- Adama Traore has been booked in all three of Hull’s league matches this season, with two of his yellow cards coming before half-time.
- Bristol City have kept just one clean sheet in their four games across all competitions so far this season, which came in their only away match at Millwall.
Prediction
Although victories in their last two games suggest strong progress after two disappointing opening defeats, Hull however do still have serious defensive issues which need addressing now that their attack looks much stronger than last season.
Bristol City meanwhile will be disappointed with their performance in their defeat at home to Birmingham City last weekend, because there was a lack of attacking intensity and end producy on top of some sloppy defending of both conceded goals so I do expect a reaction here.
Simply put it this way, there should be goals here given the defensive issues within both teams but if Hull play with the ruthless end product of recent games, I fancy them to edge this if can defend better than the Robins.
Prediction: Hull City 2-1 Bristol City
Result: Hull City 1-1 Bristol City
