Brighton & Hove Albion meet Manchester United at AMEX Stadium in a blockbuster rearranged Premier League showdown.
Victory would see Brighton climb to sixth in the table, whilst Man Utd can go third with a win.

Joel Veltman is unlikely to be available for Brighton after he was substituted in their 6-0 home win against Wolves with a muscle injury.

Stat Attack
- Brighton have won two of their last eight league meetings against Man Utd (W2, L6).
- Man Utd have won two of their last three visits to Brighton (W2, L3).
- Brighton have never won three consecutive league meetings against Man Utd.
- Pascal Gross has scored three goals in his last two league appearances for Brighton against Man Utd.
- Danny Welbeck has scored four goals in three of his last four appearances at home for Brighton, only failing to find the net in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in March 2023.
- Man Utd have won just two of their last six away games in all competitions (W2, D1, L3).
Prediction
After a run of difficult games on the road across two separate competitions, Brighton certainly hit back on home turf with a dominant front-footed win over Wolves – where they were absolutely ruthless in their intensity and press with strong control defensively amidst squad rotation.
Now if Ferguson finally is fit enough to return alongside rested Alexis Mac Allister and Kaoru Mitoma to the starting eleven, and Billy Gilmour stays in midfield then I fancy Brighton to be right up for this game given their renewed confidence from that win last weekend.
Man Utd meanwhile dominated Villa but often lacked clinical end product aside from Bruno Fernandes’ lucky rebound winner, otherwise they would of deserved a second goalless draw in three games due to a solid defence and excellent saves by David De Gea in goal.
Brighton though should be motivated by not just their win over Wolves but also by how they performed against Man Utd in their heartbreaking FA Cup semi-final exit, because a win here would be the perfect chance to extract revenge and I do fancy them to edge this if play at their best.
Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Manchester United
Result: Brighton 1-0 Manchester United
