Sky Sports have announced that seven Sky Bet Championship matches have been selected for live broadcast in Mid-December 2022.
The second-tier will take a mid-season break to make way for the Group Stage and Round of 16 at 2022 FIFA World Cup, but will return across the weekend of 10-12 December with three matches moved for live TV coverage.
Blackburn Rovers will recommence proceedings with a tasty Lancashire derby against Preston North End at Ewood Park on Saturday 10 December, with the match kicking off at 12pm GMT ahead of the concluding pair of World Cup Quarter-Finals that same date.
Sky will then air Burnley’s trip to QPR 25 hours later on Sunday 11 December, with the match in West-London commencing at 1pm GMT between the two promotion candidates.
Sunderland then host West Bromwich Albion in Monday Night Football on 12 December at Stadium of Light, with the action on Wearside kicking off at 8pm GMT.
The final round of pre-Xmas action will be spread across four days from 16-19 December, beginning with Reading’s trip to Birmingham City in Friday Night Football on 16 December at 8pm GMT.
Norwich then meet Blackburn at Carrow Road in a 5:30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday 17 Decemnber, ahead of Millwall’s trip to Luton at 12pm GMT on Sunday 18 December.
Wigan will host the final pre-Xmas match as they host Sheffield United at DW Stadium in a 8pm GMT kick-off on Monday 19 December in Monday Night Football.
Elsewhere, Burnley’s clash against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday 13 November has been pushed back 30 minutes to 12:30pm GMT, in order to enable fans to attend Rememberance Sunday Services if so wish.
