Arsenal remain top of the Premier League following a packed round of August Bank Holiday action across the table.

Comeback goals from Martin Odegaard and Gabriel saw Arsenal come from behind to defeat Fulham 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium, which saw them stay top of the table after having conceded a 56th minute opener courtesy of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Erling Haaland’s hat-trick fired second-placed Manchester City to a comeback 4-2 home victory against Crystal Palace, having been 2-0 down at half-time due to John Stones’ own goal and Joachim Andersen’s header.

Harry Kane’s brace saw Tottenham move up to third following a 2-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest, with the England international having now scored against 31 of 32 teams he has played against in the Premier League.

Brighton climbed to fourth with Pascal Gross’ 66th minute winner against Leeds United which endured that the Seagulls are now nine league matches without defeat, whilst Leeds round out the top five.

Down in the relegation zone, Harvey Barnes’ consolatory goal couldn’t prevent Leicester slipping to rock-bottom after losing 2-1 at ten-men Chelsea as Raheem Sterling struck a brace for the Blues after Conor Gallagher had been red carded following two separate bookings.

Wolves sat second-bottom after Ruben Neves’ opener was cancelled out by a dramatic 90th minute volley from Allan Saint-Maximin, as Newcastle grabbed a last-gasp 1-1 draw at Molineux.

Vitaly Janelt netted a 84th minute equaliser as Brentford came from behind to clinch a 1-1 draw at home to Everton, who initially led through Anthony Gordon’s opener but the Toffees now slipped to third-bottom.

Elsewhere, Pablo Fornals’ 74th minute winner saw West Ham snatch victory at Aston Villa to climb out of the relegation zone.

Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino both scored twice as Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield, in a game which also saw Firmino provide three assists and Fabio Carvalho score his first competitive goal for the Reds since he joined this summer from Fulham.

Finally, Bruno Fernandes’ 55th minute half-footed volley winner at Southampton saw Manchester United end their run of seven consecutive away defeats.
