FA Women’s Super League have unveiled the fixture list for 2022-23 season, featuring a blockbuster opening matchweek.
Manchester City will host Arsenal in a massive opening weekend fixture between two teams set to fight for the title, having finished third and second respectively last season behind eventual champions – Chelsea, as the season gets underway on weekend of 9-11 September.
Tottenham Hotspur meanwhile will host Manchester United in their first match at their new home stadium, Brisbane Road where they will ground share with Leyton Orient.
Chelsea will kick off their title defence at home with a cross-London derby against West Ham at Kingsmeadow.
Liverpool’s return to the female top-flight will see them travel to Reading before hosting Chelsea at home on 18 September, coincidentally on the same day that their men’s team visit Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The first Merseyside derby of the season will take place on 25 September as Liverpool host Everton, before the Toffees are at home in the reverse fixture on 26 March.
Man City will be at home to Man Utd in the final matchweek of 2022 on 11 December in the first Manchester derby of the campaign, with Utd hosting a potentially crucial return leg on the penultimate weekend of the season on 21 May.
Tottenham will visit Arsenal in the first North London derby of the season on 25 September, with the return leg scheduled for 26 March as both teams look to fight for the title this campaign.
Elsewhere, the WSL will take a month-long Xmas break after matchweek 10 which features the following fixtures:

The final day of the 2022-23 season will fall on Sunday 28th May, with Chelsea facing a trip to Reading if need a win to defend their title.
Arsenal and Man City meanwhile will be at home to Aston Villa and Everton respectively, whilst Liverpool face Manchester United in a tasty encounter between the two North-West rivals.
