Middlesbrough have drawn Tottenham Hotspur in the pick of the Fifth Round draw for 2021-22 FA Cup.
Middlesbrough stunned Manchester United away at Old Trafford on penalties in the Fourth Round to secure their place in the Last 16, which will see them host Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at Riverside Stadium in the Fifth Round.
Two previous FA Cup meetings between Boro and Spurs on Teesside both finished 1-1 which adds extra intrigue to the tie, especially with replays in force for this season’s tournament.
Peterborough United will host current Premier League leaders, Manchester City at London Road, as the Posh look to cause a cupset and advance to the Quarter Finals for the first time since 1964-65 season.
Last season’s runners-up, Chelsea will visit Luton at Kenilworth Road which sees both teams meet for the second consecutive season, after Chelsea prevailed 3-1 at Stamford Bridge last season in what proved to be Frank Lampard’s final game in charge of the Blues.
West Ham’s reward for a comeback win over Kidderminster Harriers is an all Premier League away tie at St Mary’s Stadium against Southampton.
Crystal Palace will eye a first Quarter Final appearance since 2018-19 season as Patrick Vieira’s Eagles host Stoke City at Selhurst Park.
Elsewhere, Liverpool could face a home tie against Norwich City at Anfield if they can overcome Cardiff City in their Fourth Round tie.
Everton will also be at home on Merseyside with Lampard’s Toffees set to face the winner of Bournemouth’s Fourth Round clash against Boreham Wood.
Huddersfield will visit either Nottingham Forest or Leicester City depending on which of the latter two teams win their Fourth Round battle in the East Midlands derby.
Fifth Round ties will be played between Monday 28 February – Thursday 3 March 2022 with the winners advancing to the Quarter Finals, as well as collecting £180,000 in prize money.
