Guide To Fifth Round Draw Of 2021-22 FA Cup

With the Fifth Round draw of the 2021-22 FA Cup set to take place before the conclusion of the Fourth Round, here is a guide to the Fifth Round draw of this season’s FA Cup. 

The draw will be held on the morning of Sunday 6 February live on ITV at approximately 11:40am GMT during their build-up to Liverpool’s clash against Cardiff, with two further games to be played later in the day which means that 19 teams will be involved in the draw.

Ex Manchester United striker, Andy Cole will be drawing the balls but his former Red Devils aren’t featuring in the draw, following their shock Fourth Round exit on penalties to Middlesbrough with the Teesside team now allocated ball ten in the draw.

Other stand-out teams to watch out for during the Fifth Round draw includes;

• West Ham – placed as ball number nine after coming from behind to avoid a giant killing at Kidderminster Harriers, amidst needing extra time to secure their passage to this round.
• Chelsea – survived a scrappy battle against Plymouth to prevail 2-1 after extra time and have consequently been placed as ball number seven.
• Norwich –  Stunned Wolves at Molineux in an all Premier League tie to reach the Fifth Round and seeded as ball number 16 despite fighting relegation in the league.
• Crystal Palace – Safely negotiated a potential cupset against Hartlepool in a 2-0 win which sees Patrick Vieira’s Eagles placed as ball number one in the draw.
• Leicester City – Current title holders but won’t be in action until after the draw as they visit Nottingham Forest in a 4pm kick-off with both teams sharing ball number 15.
