Blackburn Rovers welcome Fulham to Ewood Park in a tasty clash from the Sky Bet Championship.
Victory could lift Blackburn to fifth whereas Fulham can move to within two points of league leaders – Bournemouth with a win if the Cherries lose elsewhere.
Team News
Sam Gallagher is a doubt for Blackburn with a knock suffered in Saturday’s win at Derby.
Ryan Nyambe (hamstring), Daniel Ayala and Harry Pickering (both calf) are doubts alongside numerous unnamed players who are nursing knocks.
Fulham will be without Tosin Adarabioyo after he was red carded in Saturday’s win over West Brom.
Terence Kongolo, Ivan Cavaleiro (both knee), Nathaniel Chalobah (calf) and Tyrese Francois (hip) remain ruled out.
Stat Attack
- Blackburn have won just one of their last six meetings against Fulham (W1, D1, L4).
- Fulham have won two of their last five visits to Ewood Park (W2, L3), with the Cottagers emerging victorious in their last two trips by 1-0 results.
- Sam Gallagher has scored once in each of Rovers’ last three home matches (W2, D1).
- Aleksandr Mitrovic has scored eight goals in Fulham’s last four matches.
- Blackburn won one of two matches last season refereed by Jarred Gillett (W1, L1).
Prediction
Blackburn come into this match off the back of two wins although they can take confidence from their performance at Derby in which they took their chances, yet I do feel like this Blackburn team are capable of better if they can solve their injury issues and Gallagher would be a heavy miss here.
Fulham meanwhile are simply in rampant form and if Rovers don’t have several regulars available, this should be an easy win given their momentum despite their rocky form at Ewood Park so they shouldn’t underestimate whatever team Tony Mowbray puts out.
If Gallagher plays then I expect Blackburn to make a fight of this otherwise this feels like it will be one-way traffic if they’re not careful in defence.
Prediction: Blackburn 0-2 Fulham
Result: Blackburn 0-7 Fulham
