Bournemouth remain top of the Sky Bet Championship following the latest round of action in which the top two built a gap to the chasing pack.

Dominic Solanke’s header and Jamal Lowe’s strike saw Bournemouth defeat Reading at the Madejski Stadium to maintain their five-point lead at the summit.

Aleksandr Mitrovic’s hat-trick saw Fulham thrash West Brom 3-0 at Craven Cottage to stay second, despite Tosin Adarabioyo and Darnell Furlong being red carded for both teams respectively in separate incidents.

Coventry City remain fourth after Matty Godden’s ninth minute headed winner proved enough to defeat third-bottom Hull at KCOM Stadium.

Jonathan Hogg’s 82nd minute header saw Huddersfield narrowly beat Millwall 1-0 to climb to fifth in the standings.

Keshi Anderson scored for the second consecutive match as his 76th minute curled winner guided Blackpool past Sheffield United to a third consecutive win, which also lifted the Tangerines up to sixth in the table.

Barnsley remain second-bottom after Andreas Weimann’s brace inspired Bristol City to their first home win in 18 matches at Ashton Gate, having fallen behind to Aaron Leya Iseka’s opener for the Tykes.

Cardiff moved three points above the relegation zone and ended their eight match losing streak with a comeback 3-3 draw at Stoke City, with second-half goals from Rubin Colwill, Mark Harris and Kieffer Moore after Jacob Brown had put the Potters ahead before creating both of Steven Fletcher’s two goals.

Jack Colback’s 91st minute equaliser saw Nottingham Forest fight back to snatch a 1-1 draw at QPR, having fallen behind to a first-half injury time header from Lyndon Dykes.

Two goals in three minutes from Marc Roberts and Scott Hogan saw Birmingham City clinch an away victory at Middlesbrough for the second consecutive season, which marked the first time that the Brummies have claimed back-to-back wins over Boro in the post WWII era.

Finally, Joel Piroe provided a goal and assist as Swansea thrashed Peterborough 3-0 to improve to 13th in the table.
