Arsenal have been drawn away to West Bromwich Albion in the Second Round of 2021-22 Carabao Cup.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are making their first appearance at the Second Round stage of this competition for the first time since 1995-96 season, which has resulted in an away tie against West Brom at The Hawthorns in the Southern Section.
Other highlights from the Southern Section draw sees Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton drawn away to last season’s Quarter-Finalists – Newport County, whilst Watford face Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road in an all Premier League tie.
Across in the Northern Section draw, Rafa Benitez’s Carabao Cup bow as Everton manager will see the Toffees visit Huddersfield Town in a tricky run of three away trips in seven days, either side of league trips to Leeds United and Brighton.
Bruno Lage’s Wolves will visit Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in a Midlands derby, whilst Newcastle United host Burnley in an all Premier League encounter at St James’ Park.
2019-20 runners-up, Aston Villa will face a tricky away trip to League Two’s Barrow at Holker Street, as Dean Smith’s Villains look to mount another cup run.
