2020-21 FA Cup: Fourth Round – Fulham vs Burnley

Fulham welcome Burnley to Craven Cottage in an all Premier League encounter in the Fourth Round of 2020-21 FA Cup.

Whoever wins this tie will be rewarded with a home tie against either Bournemouth or Crawley in the Fifth Round after the latter tie was postponed until Tuesday.

Bobby Reid is available for Fulham after serving an one match ban in their midweek Premier League defeat to Manchester United.

Antonee Robinson is serving the second of a three match ban and joins Terence Kongolo (thigh) and Tom Cairney (knee) on the sidelines.

Burnley manager, Sean Dyche could rotate his squad amidst a hectic run of fixtures as Charlie Taylor remains absent with a muscle injury.

Stat Attack

  • Fulham have won just one of nine previous FA Cup meetings against Burnley (W1, D3, L5).
  • Burnley are unbeaten in three of four previous FA Cup visits to Fulham (W2, D1, L1).
  • Scott Parker’s Cottagers have lost three of their last five FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition (W2, L3).

Prediction

Fulham produced a strong fierce performance in midweek against Man Utd but eventually lost by a narrow margin despite scoring the opener, although there are certainly positives to take into this game because they defended well and made life incredibly difficult for Utd all evening.

Burnley meanwhile weathered waves of Liverpool attacks on Thursday evening en route to their first win at Anfield since 1974, so will certainly come into this game full of confidence given that they know that Fulham will likely try to dictate the game.

Throw in squad rotation for both teams then this could well be a cagey encounter but I am going for Burnley to snatch victory although it is difficult to call whether the win will come in 90 minutes or via extra-time as penalties between these two teams could be a lottery.

Prediction: Fulham 0-1 Burnley (After Extra Time)

Result: Fulham 0-3 Burnley
