Brentford host Leicester City at the Brentford Community Stadium in a tasty Fourth Round encounter of 2020-21 FA Cup.
Victory for Brentford or Leicester would see them host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Fifth Round.
Team News
Ivan Toney is suspended for Brentford after being sent off in Tuesday’s Championship win over Luton.
Josh Dasilva (suspension) is also ruled out as the pair join Pontus Jansson, Christian Norgaard (both ankle) and Shandon Baptiste (knee) on sidelines.
Leicester could welcome Nampalys Mendy back after the midfielder recovered from a neck strain which forced him to sit out Tuesday’s Premier League win over Chelsea.
Wes Morgan (back), Dennis Praet (hamstring) and Jamie Vardy (hernia) are ruled out. h
Stat Attack
- Brentford are winless in six previous FA Cup meetings against Leicester (D2, L4).
- Leicester are unbeaten in three FA Cup trips to Brentford (W2, D1), although this is their first trip to the Brentford Community Stadium.
- Brentford have won just one of their last five FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition (W1, D1, L3).
Prediction
Brentford are currently looking difficult to beat with one defeat in their last 19 matches across all competitions, whilst they have already beaten four Premier League teams in Cup competitions this season so this definitely will be a team which Leicester need to be wary of.
Saying that, Brendan Rogers’ Foxes were absolutely brilliant against Chelsea in midweek and if can get on the front foot here early, I genuinely can see them dictating the game with Thomas Frank’s Bees doing the chasing.
This though is the second consecutive season in which both teams met in this round so Brentford will be eying a cupset here given form against top-flight teams this season, yet their FA Cup form against Leicester is poor but I can see them going to extra time given the quality in both teams although Leicester should have the edge.
Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Leicester (After Extra Time)
Result: Brentford 1-3 Leicester
