Jason Tindall’s promotion chasing Bournemouth face a difficult trip to Pride Park as the Cherries take on Derby County in Tuesday’s big Sky Bet Championship clash.
Victory for Derby would lift them out of the relegation zone if Rotherham fail to beat Stoke in a late kick-off, whereas Bournemouth will stay third with a win.

David Marshall could return in goal for Derby after missing Saturday’s defeat to Rotherham through illness.
Tom Lawrence (ankle) and Curtis Davies (Achilles) remain absent.
Bournemouth remain without Junior Stanislas (ankle) whilst Arnaut Danjuma (hamstring) is a doubt.

- Derby are unbeaten in five previous Championship meetings against Bournemouth (W3, D2).
- Bournemouth have won just one of five previous trips to Pride Park across all competitions (W1, L4), losing their last four visits without scoring a goal.
- Wayne Rooney’s Rams have only scored twice in their last four home games, losing their last two home matches by 1-0 results to Preston and Rotherham respectively.
Prediction
Derby have made considerable progress in recent months and were unlucky to lose Saturday’s closely fought contest, although defending is still an issue at home which definitely will be of concern if are to boost their survival hopes as we continue to move towards the crunch stage of the campaign.
Bournemouth meanwhile found themselves up against a difficult Luton team on Saturday who dug in and made life tricky for Cherries, which will likely be the same here but I fancy the Cherries to score here given their away form this season.
Derby though are in need of points and boast a good home record in this fixture so will certainly make life tough, even though I do see Bournemouth scraping at least a point here given their superior quality and form.
