PREMA Sign Olli Caldwell For 2021 F3 Season

PREMA have completed their driver line-up after announcing Olli Caldwell as their third driver.

Caldwell enjoyed a solid F3 rookie campaign in 2020 for Trident as he collected 18 points en route to 16th place in the championship.

Speaking on his surprise appointment at PREMA, Caldwell is “excited” to be driving for the team, saying; “… I’m looking forward to putting what I learnt from my rookie year to good use and continuing our history together in FIA F3.”

Caldwell also took to Twitter to speak about pushing forward after a tough rookie campaign in 2020 with Trident, tweeting;

PREMA Team Principal Rene Rosin is delighted to welcome Caldwell back to the team after he drove for them in 2018 ADAC and Italian F4 seasons and in 2019 Formula Regional European Championship.

Speaking on the decision to sign Caldwell, Rosin said; “Having worked with him in the past, we know he has a smart approach and can adapt quickly, which we expect to be a key skill with the challenging season ahead.

“In addition, he knows our work ethics and approach, so he is definitely a good fit for 2021. It is always great to see young drivers evolve with us throughout their career, and we are sure Olli will keep up the improvement this season.”

Caldwell will partner Arthur Leclerc and Dennis Hauger for the new F3 season, which sees a revised weekend format and spread-out calendar come into effect.
