2020-21 UEFA Europa League Group Stage: LASK vs Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur look to seal qualification from Group J as they visit LASK at Linzer Stadion in 2020-21 UEFA Europa League.

Victory could see LASK climb into the top two placings but a win would see Tottenham secure qualification although if Spurs were to lose and Royal Antwerp also suffer defeat against Ludogorets Razgrad, the maths could get complicated heading into next Thursday’s final round of group matches.

Gernot Trauner is ruled out for LASK after being red carded in last Thursday’s defeat against Antwerp, as James Holland returns from suspension.

Petar Filipovic meanwhile is a doubt after suffering a hip injury during last week’s loss.

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns to report as Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela remain sidelined with respective muscle and foot injuries.

Harry Kane, Vinicius Junior and Sergio Reguilon aren’t likely to feature with one eye on Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Tottenham were quite disappointing on Sunday at Chelsea in terms of attack but dug in defensively with Hugo Lloris in particularly saving their bacon, so Jose Mourinho will rightly expect improvements here and I wouldn’t be surprised if he fields a stronger team than planned.

LASK however have scored just once and conceded ten goals in their last three meetings against English opposition so if Tottenham can turn up and deliver a stronger performance, they should get a comfortable win.

Prediction: LASK 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Result: LASK 3-3 Tottenham Hotspur
