Formula Two Releases 2020 Calendar

FIA Formula Two has today released their race calendar for 2020 as Zandvoort joins the list of races supporting Formula One weekends.

The season will as traditional commence in Bahrain across the weekend of 20-22 March as 11 of the rounds to feature on this season’s calendar returns, with the Dutch round at Zandvoort on 1-3 May replacing Le Castallet, France in a surprise move which marks the only change to the calendar.

The decision comes despite interest from several F1 hosting circuits as FIA Formula Two CEO, Bruno Michel explains; “I can confirm that more tracks would have liked to have F2 raced there, but as always, we want to ensure that our championship remains affordable by keeping the costs under control and thus the number of events to a total of twelve.”

Like recent seasons, F2 will finish with a trip to Abu Dhabi across the weekend of 27-29 November 2020 where the series will crown its fourth World Champion.

Pre-season testing plans will be confirmed at a later date.
