Wolverhampton Wanderers meet Manchester United at Molineux in a huge Premier League clash.
Manchester United can go third with victory whilst Wolves must at least match or better Watford’s result to cling onto seventh.
Team news
Embed from Getty ImagesWolves have no injury concerns with the whole squad available for selection, although Nuno Espirito Santo is set to rotate his starting eleven with Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final in mind.
Manchester United have no fresh injury concerns after Anthony Martial limped off during Saturday’s win over Watford.
Eric Bailly (concussion) and Aleix Sanchez (knee) are the only definite absentees with Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian both doubts due to a lack of match fitness.
Stat Attack
- Wolves are unbeaten against Manchester United in two meetings across all competitions already this season, winning their FA Cup clash just over a fortnight ago (W1, D1).
- Manchester United however have dropped just four points in their last six league games against Wolves.
- At Molineux, Wolves have lost just two of last five league meetings against United (W2, D1, L2).
- Paul Pogba has produced nine assists this season, one less than he managed across whole of last season.
- Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota have both created nine big chances each for Wolves this season.
Prediction
Its hard to know what Wolves’ plans are because with Watford also in action, getting points here in the race for seventh is key but so is Sunday’s FA Cup semi.
Man Utd meanwhile will be a much tougher side to stop than the side who lost the FA Cup clash a few weeks ago, boosted by Saturday’s well earned win over Watford.
This however will be an edgy game but I am going for an away win here if produce a similar performance to weekend.
