Plymouth Parkway meet Berkhamsted in the concluding tie of the first round in the 2026-27 FA Cup.
With both teams playing in this round for the very first time, victory would see either Plymouth Parkway or Berkhamsted extend their longest cup run.

Stat Attack
- This is Plymouth Parkway’s first-ever FA Cup meeting against Berkhamsted.
- Berkhamsted are making their cup trip to Plymouth Parkway, but lost 2-0 in their only previous visit in February 2026 in the Southern League’s Premier South Division.
- Eight of Plymouth Parkway’s nine goals in the Qualifying Rounds were scored after half time.
- Berkhamsted kept just one clean sheet in their four qualifying round matches (W4), which came in a 2-0 victory at Redditch United in the Third Qualifying Round.
Prediction
With both teams on their best-ever FA Cup runs and 20 goals between them across their eight combined qualifying round matches, I expect this tie to be a proper contest because neither side will want their run to end here.
Berkhamsted though have to be clinical in the first half if want to put Plymouth Parkway under pressure to chase the game in the second half when the latter tend to be stronger, yet they in that scenario will need to be defensively solid which hasn’t been their strongest aspect in their run.
I honestly can see this being quite a tough battle because both teams have nothing to lose given their seventh-tier status but the hosts have lost just once at home all season, they might just have the edge if extra time is needed.
Prediction: Plymouth Parkway 2-1 (AET) Berkhamsted
