Jon McCracken felt that Bradford earned “a good point” in their 0-0 draw at Oxford United.

McCracken made a crucial second-minute save to deny Gatlin O’Donkor as Bradford endured a slow start at the Kassam Stadium, before the Bantams grinded out a point to sit third in League One with a game in hand.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has now kept seven clean sheets in his last eight appearances in all competitions, but felt that the Us certainly tested himself and his teammates yet the point felt positive as he explained to the club website post match.

“We probably did not start as well as we would have wanted. For the first 20 minutes, we were under pressure, but credit to Oxford – they are a good side.

“Overall, it is a good point. Towards the end of the game, we were the team looking to go and win it.

“It is frustrating in that sense we did not manage to score, but it is a good point.”

1,282 Bradford supporters made the long trip as Storm Boelo produced difficult weather conditions across the country, and McCracken was proud to see so many people brave the natural elements for a massive league fixture.

“The following is amazing. I have never seen anything like it, or played for a club such as this. Home and away, the support is incredible.

“I think our away form has been really good. We have played some challenging teams away, and some great teams at the start of the season and they are always with us.

“When you come out and see the support, there is a lot of heart in that.”
