2026-27 UEFA Conference League: League Phase – Jablonec vs Brighton

Brighton continue their 2026-27 UEFA Conference League campaign with a trip to Jablonec.

Victory would lift Jablonec into the seeded knockout play-off spots, whilst Brighton will remain top of the table with a win.

Team News

Klemen Mihelak is a doubt for Jablonec after a recent abdominal injury, although he has returned to training this week and will face a late fitness test.

Lamin Jawo (hand), Kevin-Prince Milla (leg) and Jan Suchan (knock) are ruled out.

Brighton could be without Pascal Struijk after he missed their last two games with a minor thigh injury, after he was anticipated to return for their 5-0 Premier League win at home against Crystal Palace.

Zadok Yohanna (unspecified), Yankuba Minteh (leg), Stefanos Tzimas, Mats Wieffer (both knee), Femi Azeez, Kaoru Mitoma (both hamstring) and Evan Ferguson (ankle) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Jablonec host Brighton at Stadion Strelnice on Thursday 22 October at 6:45pm CEST (5:45pm BST), live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • This is Jablonec’s first-ever competitive meeting against Brighton.
  • Brighton are making their first competitive trip to Jablonec.
  • This is Jablonec’s first-ever clash against English opposition in all UEFA competitions.
  • Brighton are yet to concede in this season’s UEFA Conference League (W2, D1).

Prediction

Having suffered frustrating 3-2 losses to Freiburg and Viktoria Plzen in the last week, Jablonec need to use the hurt of those two defeats as motivation now to find a win here but their defence will need to cut out the errors if want to quieten Brighton’s attack.

Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls though do look unstoppable but with three tricky domestic fixtures on the horizon in the space of six days from Sunday, I do expect some squad rotation here after a ruthless demolition of Palace at home but they still should be favourites such is their form currently.

Jablonec though can’t be underestimated but if Brighton start as well as they’ve done in their last two games, I fancy them to take the win.

Prediction: Jablonec 1-2 Brighton
