Bayern Munich host Arsenal in a league-phase blockbuster in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League.
Victory would see Bayern leapfrog Arsenal and move into the top eight, whilst a win could put Arsenal top depending on results elsewhere.
Team News
Manuel Neuer is a doubt for Bayern Munich as he continues to manage a foot injury, although he has returned to training ahead of this match.
Joshua Kimmich missed training for personal reasons but is expected to feature, but Jamal Musiala is ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Michael Olise is suspended after he was red carded in their 3-3 draw at Viking last week.
Arsenal could again be without Spanish goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga after he missed their 1-0 Premier League win at Nottingham Forest due to a knock.
Piero Hincapie (ankle), Christos Tzolis (hamstring) and William Saliba (back) remain absent.

Stat Attack
- Bayern Munich have lost just one of their last six Champions League meetings against Arsenal (W4, D1, L1).
- Arsenal are winless in their last five visits to Bayern Munich in the Champions League (D1, L4).
- Bayern have won two of their last three home games against Arsenal by a 1-0 result.
- Three of Bayern’s eight league-phase goals this season has been scored by Harry Kane.
- Arsenal are yet to concede in the league phase of this season’s Champions League (W2), during which they scored four goals across their two matches.
Prediction
Widely tipped as favourite for this fixture and unbeaten in all competitions despite keeping just three clean sheets, Bayern certainly can’t be underestimates such is their firepower so I am expecting their usual dangerous attacking play.
Arsenal meanwhile can be pleased with clean sheets in their last two matches but Mikel Arteta surely has to be worried at the lack of first half quality against Lille then Forest, as they ideally need to be sharp throughout if want anything from this game.
One positive though is their defensive resilience which will need to be absolutely perfect if they’re to keep Bayern quiet in the first half, otherwise this match could be over by half time if they’re not careful but I do think that the Gunners are capable of getting something in Munich compared to their recent trips.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 2-2 Arsenal
