Campos Racing have signed Salim Hanna for the 2027 FIA Formula Three season.
Hanna’s move into F3 next season comes after a solid 2026 campaign in Formula Regional European Championship (FREC), in which he claimed one win and three further podium finishes to finish seventh overall and will also join Ferrari’s Driver Academy in 2027.
The 16-year-old Colombian is relishing the chance to graduate into F3 with the reigning teams’ champions and is keen to fight for victories.
“I’m very happy and grateful to be part of this incredible team and family. From day one, I’ve felt so comfortable and welcomed, and I’m really looking forward to learn and improve day by day. I know we have a strong team, and I hope we can fight at the front and achieve great things together next year!”
Campos Team Principal, Adrian Campos added that the team “are very happy” to sign Hanna who he believes is a rising star and can help them stay at the top of F3 whilst developing himself as a driver.
“He is a young talent with a very interesting career so far and has shown consistent progress since starting his single-seater career.
“We want to repeat the results we have achieved over the last two seasons in FIA F3, and I am convinced that Salim has great potential. We hope to help him have a successful season, continue to develop his talent, and take the next step in his career with us.”
Hanna is a two-time karting champion and stepped up to single-seater racing in 2024 in the Formula Trophy UAE, where he finished seventh overall.
2025 saw him finish sixth in F4 Middle East Championship with his first single-seater podium finish, before he went on to take six podiums in Italian F4 as he finished fourth overall.
That season also saw him race in E4 where he achieved one podium and 55 points in nine races, whilst he also took three wins in five British F4 races to finish 19th overall in that category.
This year saw Hanna compete in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy in which he took one win en-route to tenth in the standings, followed by his FREC campaign.
